The weather has been quite consistent the past few days. Wind and rain followed by more wind and rain. Yesterday, I managed to snap a few pictures without getting wet.
The grape hyacinths and the willow catkins started to bloom, despite the depressive weather.
I sowed some radish, lettuce, spinach, peas, sugarsnaps, snow peas, marigolds and rocket last week. Hope to sow some carrots this weekend. And start on the tomatoes and basil.
We celebrated 15ºC in February with wine and a braai.
Today’s a wonderful sunny and warm (10C) Winter day, so I planted my first seeds: Lamb’s lettuce. Woohoo.
This is my new squarefoot garden. I’ll be growing veggies in 4 raised beds. The fifth raised bed is reserved for edible flowers. The largest bed (just out of sight on the right) is reserved for herbs and flowers.
